Galician
Galego
Galician and Portuguese were a single language in the Middle Ages, that of the Galician-Portuguese lyric. Political separation drove them apart, but the kinship is still obvious: Galician looks like Portuguese written with Spanish conventions. The nasal sound is gone — non where Portuguese writes não — and the spelling uses x where Spanish uses j.
